Thanks.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to record your relationships!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not a discussion about your friendships but how the data can be described.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best terminology to use for graphs that have <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-bright-blue-color has-yellow-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-339ae1424445b029b819cf11d798971f wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>a trend which is a straight line is \u2018a linear relationship\u2019. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That avoids issues around whether something is directly proportional or proportional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Directly proportional only applies when the graph is a straight line through the origin (or close to the origin within the uncertainty in the y-intercept).
