REMEMBER ALL THAT HARD WORK ISN’T WASTED
This little blighter has caused so much trouble but we’re not to be beaten. So your exams have been cancelled but life will go on. If you were planning sitting N5 on 30th April please make sure that you have as much evidence of success as possible and schools may be open for this purpose.
Bring ALL of your evidence and put it in your file. Even if your evidence shows poor initial performance, it could be used to demonstrate improvement, we can use this too!
Learning Physics is never a waste!
If you are in S3 you might want to make a start on your N5 and learn the lessons from this year’s students and make a start.
Doing past papers? Here is a helpful site to give you hints if you get stuck without revealing the answer. Thanks to Mr Hopely for this. It is also useful for Chemistry, Maths, and other subjects we don’t offer here.
NB if you use a mobile to view this site the notices are right at the bottom. Scroll right down to read them
2020 Welcome to the National 5 part of the website.
The introduction to N5 Physics lower down the page under some important student resources.
I am not here to worry you, but you ought to be concerned. If you don’t miss any lessons and we have no prelims there are just 163 school days from the start of the course to you leaving for study leave. If I see you 3 x per week that is approx 98 lessons! We need to move on.
Your compendium contains N5 content, information on the exam and assignment, maths, Relationships Sheet and Data Sheet. Check off the outcomes as you go through the course.
AND FINALLY THEY ARE FINISHED- Learning Outcome Question Booklet. Now I’ve just the answers to complete. Find them all in the Learning Outcome Section.
Thanks to Mr F Rush for the N5 2018 LOs.

Studying Physics @ N5
Lots of people are scared of Physics and say it is too hard. I can’t claim that Physics will be the easiest subject that you can choose but I describe it like this.
“Some subjects that you choose will be like a walk in the park; very pleasant, quite straightforward, and not very strenuous.
Physics will be like climbing a mountain, hard going, challenging, and testing.
However, at the end of the day what would give you most satisfaction, sense of pride and achievement?
Are you up for a challenge or do you just want an easy ride?”
You can feel the sense of achievement in this photo.
You can experience that too- choose Physics!
